Meet the Support Staff:

Ron MacConnell - Quartermaster
Staten Island, NY
Ron
recently retired from a career as an educator and administrator in the New
York City school system. His PSA is low and he wants to keep it that way. He
is in training for the Philadelphia Marathon in November and hopes the
expedition will help get in tiptop condition.

Robin and Edie Hartshorne
Berkeley, CA
Robin
& Edie have joined the Prostate Cancer Climb expedition to support
education about prostate cancer. In particular to promote awareness of the
many alternative treatments available besides the standard conventional
interventions.
Robin
is a professor of mathematics at the University of California at Berkeley.
He is a life member of the Harvard Mountaineering Club and former member of
the American Alpine Club. He has climbed in the Tetons, the Canadian
Rockies, the Coast Range of British Columbia, the Alps, and in Iran and
Afghanistan.
Edi
is a musician, therapist and Feldenkrais practitioner. She has recently
traveled in France, Croatia, Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica and Ecuador working
for peace.

Ben Hartshorne
Berkeley, CA
Ben is a socially conscious outdoor enthusiast with
concerns about the prostate cancer epidemic. He is a computer systems
engineer who recently returned from a ten month tour of duty aboard the
sailing vessel RV Heraclitus who's mission was the study and mapping
of the world's dwindling coral reefs.
